Ross Botes

Ross is a partner at SR Energy responsible for the financing function of all development projects including debt and equity raising, tax and financial modelling.

Prior to his current position he was a senior manager at the 96MW Jasper Power Project and responsible for financial and accounting requirements of the project reporting to the CEO and the board. Before joining SolarReserve he was a corporate finance analyst at EY involved in valuations, business modelling and due diligence across various industries with a focus on renewable energy.

He is skilled in financial modelling, early/late stage project evaluation, cash flow analysis, debt and equity structuring and raising, tax and accounting.

He qualified as a Chartered Account (CA(SA)) after having completed his articles at EY and his honours degree in accounting from the University of Witwatersrand. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
